Introduction

MetricWire is a platform for mobile data collection through research participants' own iOS and Android mobile phones.

Through partnership with MetricWire, m2c2kit assessments can be added to MetricWire studies.

MetricWire is a strong option for studies using EMA, scheduling, and notifications. It supports complex scheduling, notifications, and compliance tracking, while also providing a seamless participant experience through a single app. It also prevents duplicate completion of the same M2C2 assessment within a session. This option does require a MetricWire license, so you will need to contact their team for an estimated cost. The m2c2 team cannot provide this for you.

A note on configuration. There are two options for deploying M2C2 assessments in MetricWire: a URL approach or an Embedded approach. The URL approach requires contacting the PSU team to establish a study for the assessment data to be securely stored on M2C2 servers. Costs may be lower if you select this option; however, storing the assessment data outside of the MetricWire platform requires internet connectivity or a data plan for assessments to function properly. If your participants do not have reliable access to a data plan, or internet, or if your institution does not allow researchers to store data on outside servers, you may need to work with the MetricWire team to include access to the assessments in your license.”
